MIDLAND COUNTY, Mich. — State Representative Annette Glenn held a news conference in Sanford regarding funding for flood recovery on Thursday, June 11.
Yesterday, she introduced a bill to bring $6-million to the county and city of Midland and it’s residents.
The funds would come from the Michigan Disaster and Emergency Fund which is allocated $10-million annually.
The money can be used for restoration projects such as debris removal, road blockades, sheltering and evacuations, chemical clean up efforts, and the repair of real estate and personal property.
Glenn says she is continuing to look for more funds as communities wait to see if the federal government will come through on disaster declaration funding.
