Glenn introduces $6 million flood relief bill in Michigan House

State Rep. Annette Glenn, R-Midland, introduced House Bill No. 5843 on Wednesday, which would appropriate $6 million to Midland County and the City of Midland to deal with the recent destruction and damage caused by the flooding of the Tittabawassee River.

The $6 million sum would be allocated from the Disaster and Emergency Contingency Fund.

The bill was referred to the Committee on Appropriations.

Glenn will hold a news conference to discuss the bill at 4 p.m. Thursday in downtown Sanford.
