After COVID-19 surfaced, Rep. Glenn has tirelessly kept in constant contact with state and community leaders and her constituents to ensure we’re doing all we can to save both lives and livelihoods.
She also personally volunteered with various community nonprofits, helping connect local citizens to resources that they needed. And she’s personally visited medical, emergency, and other front line professionals to present state tributes thanking them for their work (see photo above).
- She voted for $150 million in coronavirus relief funding, which included relief for the unemployed, small business owners, and medical care facilities that needed more resources
- As vice chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, she successfully pressured LARA officials to retract their threat against doctors who prescribed potentially life-saving drugs for COVID-19 treatment.
- Dr. John Pfenninger, long-time medical columnist for the Midland Daily News, wrote that “Glenn’s actions may have indeed saved many lives,” confirmed when a clinical trial by the Henry Ford Health System found that the drug in question cut the COVID-19 death rate in half.
- Rep. Glenn personally called doctors to assure them they are now free to prescribe the drugs they think appropriate without fear of punitive action by the state, including the physician of a Democratic legislator from Detroit who said Annette helped save her life.
