Midland Daily News — Female firsts: First women state representative and police chief

Rep. Annette Glenn, R-Midland, the first woman to represent the city of Midland in the state House of Representatives, was on hand to congratulate new Midland Police Chief Nicole Ford, the city’s first ever female police chief, after Ford’s formal swearing-in ceremony during last week’s council meeting. Glenn said she “looks forward to working closely with Chief Ford to help keep our neighborhoods and the entire city of Midland a safe and family-friendly community in which to raise and educate our children.”
